The curator of Arts Club of Washington once wrote of her work, “...Above all, Betty transmits her warmth, joie de vivre and visual sensitivity for the natural world to the canvas and imparts so much pleasure to the viewer, lighting up any room in which her paintings hang.” Betty Huang’s Biography I paint from the heart, losing myself in light and subject. My love of art began as a child, with my parent's collection of Asian art which they taught me to embrace as part of my heritage. I began to paint over a decade ago after enrolling in a painting workshop at the Arts Club of Washington and have since studied with a wide range of artists in the U.S. and Taiwan. I believe that art, like life, is a continuous process of exploring and learning. I call Easton my home now, as I live my dream of creating art. I often travel to paint on location, producing series that reflect the moment. It is exciting to be part of the artistic synergy of the Eastern Shore. My work can be found at Gallery 26, The Chesapeake Heritage Gallery, and the Water's Way Art Studio. My commissions hang in private collections in Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia, California, Minnesota, Florida, Canada and Taiwan.
